Ethical Benefits

All kangaroo meat which is sold for human consumption is harvested from wild populations - meaning that your steak dinner is factory farm free!

Producers and harvesters of kangaroo exclusively hunt and kill male kangaroos to avoid harm to fertile females or their joeys.

Kangaroo hunting quotas are based on the present population and the carrying capacity of the landscape. This ensures that kangaroo numbers never get too low that they can’t bounce-back or too high that the landscape can’t sustain their population that they starve.

Under the ‘National Code of Practice for the Humane Shooting of Kangaroos and Wallabies for Commercial Purposes’, all shooters must aim to shoot and kill the target kangaroo with a shot to the head – meaning that all kangaroos are killed as quickly and painlessly as possible.
