Kangaroo is a healthier red-meat alternative due to its low-fat content (around 2%) and high nutritional value – a high portion of the cuts contain polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic and arachidonic acid.

Kangaroo is high in nutrients like iron and zinc.

Compared to lamb (at 27% fat and 40% of your recommended daily saturated fat intake) and beef (20% fat and 25% of your daily recommended intake of saturated fat), Kangaroo meat is extraordinarily lean.

Known as ‘kangatarians” some people have begun to choose kangaroo as their sole source of meat because of its numerous benefits to health and minimal environmental impact.
